Let the Discussion Begin

Popo said we have some Grey's Anatomy to discuss, and to that I say Hell to the Motha F*ing Yeah! If you don't watch it, just pretend I'm still working really hard and didn't post today.

I have decided I hate Meredith. Yep. It started a few weeks back, got stronger with the whole hand in the guy's inside touching the bomb, and now she has hurt George. Damn you to hell! When we finally got to see what happened during the sex they had I wanted to find George and have none crying sex with him. Well, wait I'm married. So I would bring my friend Maryanne and she would have hot, no crying, and definately not say "You are almost done, right? sex with him. Sheesh!

Now she and Dr. McDreamy are going to be friends? What asshats! This isn't going to turn out bad or anything. Nope, not bad at all.

Addison brought a whole new meaning to the term "fire crotch". For some reason I don't hate her now. Which adds in the whole hating Meredith when she and McDreamy end up having sex and ruining this marriage. She is about to make herself the bad guy. I can't wait!

Luke and I joined a soccer league and the games are on Sunday. This will not due, so I am getting Tivo.

Discuss!

I thought I would never hate Meredith. She just seemed so real. But now I just consider her so self-involved and self-pitying that there's no room left for sympathy. I love George. I was so proud of him for leaving last night.

How about that Dr. Torres? She certainly has taken a shining to young Dr. O'Malley.

And yeah, "friendship" between McDreamy and Meredith is just foreshadowing a disaster. I like Addison now. I felt bad for her. Nobody wants poison oak in their hooha.
I am with you on all of that. I seems with each week she becomes more and more self involved. Damn.

Poison Oak in the hooha...that's just not right.
I totally agree that Addison and McDreamy need to divorce. They both love other people. So they should. And they bring Dr. McSteamy back. he's hot.
I never hated Addison,I kind of feel bad for her. I mean, she's definitely not the type of woman who'd enjoy living in a trailer but she's toughing out out anyway, which means she must be serious about patching things up. I just couln't figure out why they seemed to script it so everyone thought she was so much prettier than Meredith. To me, it always seemed that Addison was pretty in a rich, money, status, superior kind of way, and Meredith was pretty in a fresh, young way.

I quit liking Meredith sometime when this season started. She used to be so smart and she's been reduced to a confused, needy, whiney, incapable of fixing herself mess. She's getting weaker where the other characters are getting stronger. Have you read the GreyMatter, Emerald City Bar and Seattle Grace Gossip blogs? One is done by the writers of the show, and explains this whole descent into pitifulness (and it makes sense although I still feel like it's a cop out and full of b.s.) The other two are written as if Joe, the bartender is telling things from his p.o.v. and from what the nurses at the nurses' station see. I wanted to link them here but my computer's being rebellious, so you'll have to go look at my sidebar instead.

Last night's episode was enough to make me lose interest in watching it. It doesn't seem like it's as good anymore. It doesn't hook me and reel me in the way it used to. It's becoming too mundane and like real life, rather than being a fantastic escape.
Oh, and I wanted to add-

I was relieved that they didn't start the show with the sex scene, but when they went over it all at the very end, I found that nauseating. Here I thought I'd escaped the dreaded thing none of us wanted to happen (and it helped that our t.v. opted not to air any dialogue for the first half of the show. That happens alot since DH bought an expensive flat screen HDMI LCD t.v. It choses to blare the background music and no audio occasionally. Only on ABC. If I change channels to the antenna version of the same channel, I get perfect audio and the fuzzy picture doesn't bother me.) And they had to go force that whole scene on us at the end when we'd finally relaxed and thought we had managed to get past the issue safely. Ick.

Ick. Ick. Ick. I don't care that the whole reason was for George to get Meredith out of his system so he could move on with his life. Ick. Ick. Ick.

It was horrible. I've never had sex that horrible, nor heard of such!

I did think the whole "You are not my friend" think in the elevator was hysterical. It was so blunt and fitting. And McDreamy took it all in stride, as only he can.

I hate that this show is dead set on mirroring reality so closely. We all "try to be friends" and we all know it doesn't really work and is a crock and yet they try to make adults on t.v. (who should know better already) do it anyway.

If we wanted to watch reality t.v., we'd be watching reality t.v. instead.
Crap. This is like the only show I'm not watching. Do I need to add it? I hate being left out.
I say rent the first season and watch it, then decide if you want to start following it- 'cause it seems to be hitting a few dead spots at the moment and causing alot of disappointment to the avid followers. I'm hopin it doesn't hit the wall like Desperate Housewives has...
I hadn't heard that. Hmmm...I bet Addison leaves- she was added in, rather than starting off the show with a bang.

Karev hasn't really been as much of a focal point as others, though, as far as central-to-the-story regulars go...

George's story hasn't really gone anywhere, although his career seems to be getting all of the good experience and stuff. He's the only one really doing major career-making things. I could see him going off to do major doctoring somewhere impressive.
I don't know anything about this show. But...

Hi!
I am so pissed at Meredith too! How could she do that to George? She KNEW he loved her from Day One (since before Day One...at the mixer even!) and she went with it because she was SAD? So NOT a good excuse. At least if she had explained to him about her father it might have lessened the blow, but of course, she is vauge and needy and wants to forget the whole mess. Uh, excuse me? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

Oh and I read that one of the five interns is leaving the surgical program at the end of this season for sure and it is NOT Meredith...so help me God if it is George I will find a way to rip her head off!!!

But I'm not into the show that much, really... :)
Very true...wise words, Lulu
These comments are fabulous! Everything has considered this show so thoughtfully. :)

I missed this week's episode because I was at my grandparents' house, watching the History Channel, so sadly I can't contribute. But Meredith is starting to wear on me.
I really don't think they got to the actual "sex" part. That's why George didn't want to talk about it and was all bent out of shape at Meredith.
Stop making me miss you. It's not fair.
i don't watch Grey's, so i was totally confused when my sister went in to have her baby yesterday and she told me she couldn't believe she had to push that thing out of her "vagigi". it made me laugh regardless. i love that term!
RIT. THIS POST IS FROM FREAKING MONDAY. GET ON THE HORN ALREADY.
Rit, I hope you are okay. Missing your posts and hope to hear from you soon.
